To raise the level of awareness about the lignite mining industry in Texas to federal, state and local regulatory agencies, legislators, the public, educators and students and the media with regard to the economic importance of lignite in supplying the nation's energy. The committee will work in cooperation with the Communications Committee, the Legislative Committee and other committees within the Association.
